For one of the largest players in the manufacturing industry, operational efficiency and precision in supply chain management are non-negotiable. This client, a global leader in their field, needed a comprehensive, end-to-end supply chain system that could seamlessly integrate various facets of their production process. With numerous moving parts—from production control to inventory management and lab testing—they required a system that not only tracked and managed these processes but also provided valuable insights to help the company maintain a competitive edge.
Due to confidentiality, the client remains anonymous, but their supply chain needs were as intricate as they were critical to maintaining their position in the market.
Project Goal
The goal of the project was to design and implement an end-to-end supply chain management system that would automate and integrate all critical manufacturing and operational processes. The system needed to handle Production Control, Dispatch Control, Lab Testing, Store and Inventory Management, Machinery Shop Control, and Reporting. Additionally, the solution required a Supply Chain Intelligence Dashboard that would provide the top management with real-time data insights, enabling them to make strategic decisions based on performance metrics and trends.
Key objectives included:
- Full integration of all operational modules: Ensuring that every element of the supply chain communicated seamlessly across departments.
- Real-time data and intelligence dashboards: Giving top management comprehensive oversight of operations, inventory levels, and production performance.
- Comprehensive testing and lab management: Allowing the client to monitor the quality and specifications of materials through integrated lab control systems.

- Production Control System:
This module managed the entire production process, from scheduling and tracking to real-time monitoring of production status. The system captured key performance metrics, helping the team manage resources and optimize production timelines. - Shot Blast Control System:
In highly specialized production environments like this, controlling machinery and processes is crucial. The Shot Blast Control System integrated with production management to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of shot blast processes, minimizing downtime and ensuring quality control at this critical production stage. - Dispatch Control System:
This system managed outbound logistics, automating dispatch scheduling and tracking to ensure timely deliveries. The dispatch module was tightly integrated with the inventory management system, providing real-time updates on stock levels and product availability for dispatch. - Store and Inventory Management:
The inventory management system tracked stock levels, recorded the movement of items, and maintained a log of on-hand inventory. Comprehensive reporting provided insights into product turnover, inventory costs, and reorder levels. Store management ensured that both raw materials and finished goods were tracked from acquisition to dispatch, creating a complete picture of the company’s supply chain at all times. - Machinery Shop Control System:
This module tracked the operational status of machinery, ensuring preventive maintenance schedules were adhered to and recording any incidents or breakdowns. This system ensured that all materials met the client’s stringent quality control standards, with real-time data flowing back into the central production and inventory systems. Test results were stored and linked to individual batches, providing complete traceability from raw material testing through to finished goods.
- Comprehensive Reporting and Supply Chain Intelligence Dashboard:
We built a powerful Supply Chain Intelligence Dashboard that delivered real-time insights to the top management. The dashboard consolidated data from all modules—Production, Inventory, Dispatch, Lab Control—and displayed it in a visually compelling, easy-to-understand format. Customizable reports allowed decision-makers to drill down into specific areas, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and compare performance across time periods. - Master Data Management:
